Recipe Prawns with Garlic and Ginger | Smelly Alley Fish

Prawns with garlic and ginger

You'll need

A couple of tablespoons of olive or sesame oil

1-3 garlic cloves, depending on how much you like garlic

1 small red chilli – optional

About two large tablespoons of very finely sliced ginger, or grated ginger. If you slice it finely enough sliced ginger is better (in our opinion)

300g shelled deveined tiger prawns

Something green to serve, for example mange tout peas, sugar snap peas or coarsely chopped coriander

Rice to serve. A packet of microwaveable rice is ideal.

Lime quarters

This recipe is ideal in a wok, especially a wok on a barbecue. Fry the ingredients (not coriander) in the oil until the prawns go pink on one side. Turn them over and fry on the other side.

Serve with the rice and lime quarters, and sprinkled with coriander if using.
